Working with the 11 communities that make up our catchment area, NECRC provides support to our stakeholders to address the needs of these communities through the development of partnerships, networking and building community capacity.
The Purpose of our Housing department is based on the comprehensive neighbourhood housing plan, is to encourage the combined efforts of government, residents groups and housing organizations to carry out strategic renewal to the North End of Winnipeg.
NECRC has as a goal of the revitalization of Selkirk Avenue, Main Street and other Neighbourhood main streets. We have used our resources, and made partnerships toward the development of properties in commercial areas that will increase the vibrancy of the community, add to the “bustle” of the street, and make a safer, more welcoming place for businesses and their customers to operate.
The community within NECRC boundaries is an untapped resource for tomorrows workforce. NECRC is dedicated to supporting meaningful sustainable employment for the North End Community.
